About Ts Exotics
We are a small, family-owned, and operated aviary located in Pensacola, Florida, specializing in sweet, hand-fed Macaws and Cockatoos. Since we are small, we can perform a more personalized one-on-one business.
As a parrot breeder, my goal is to provide you with a healthy, hand-fed parrot as well as the tools and knowledge you will need to adjust to your new family member.
From day ONE, I go above and beyond to ensure that our hand-fed baby parrots are given the “hands-on” love and nurturing which I believe is required for them to develop into an exceptional, affectionate, and loving companion that will be a part of your family for years to come.
A lot of time, hard work, and care go into the babies that we raise. It is important to me that each baby finds a loving home with a caring and educated family. We reserve the right to refuse to sell a parrot if we feel that the buyer has not done enough research to understand what he or she is getting into fully.
T’s Exotics is a closed aviary. We believe that a closed aviary provides added protection to our parrots from diseases that other birds, animals, or humans could potentially spread.
Our aviary offers all of our breeding parrots individual flight pens, with lots of sunshine, bright colors, an abundance of toys, and concrete floors which provides an environment that is easily sanitized.
How it all Started
My fascination with birds started when I was a young child, starting with parakeets and canaries; always dreaming of a much larger species.
After high school, I acquired my first Grey Cockatiel, “Bo-Diddley.” Although he was not tame, I spent many hours and a lot of patience to win his trust. As time would have it, he was finally perching on my hand and whistling Reveille. I was very proud of his accomplishments as well as my own.
In my spare time, I researched parrots, parrot behavior, and parrot breeding. With that knowledge, I decided that I would invest in a female Grey Cockatiel to pair with Bo-Diddley and take my knowledge and dream to the next level. Soon after, I purchased a pair of Albino Cockatiels, fulfilling yet another dream.
That was several years ago. I’ve married since and have acquired several more species of parrots. We are a military family, and we have relocated on several occasions; this has worked for us, as I had a career raising parrots that could move with us. It allowed me the flexibility to either work outside the home or to stay at home, raise our children, raise baby parrots and contribute financially to the household or both. Basically, this is a reality that started with a dream. My husband, Charlie, has been excellent at helping me with the babies and fixing or repairing what the birds have destroyed. (I am pretty sure I heard him mumbling under his breath at times). All that aside, he is my number one supporter. Thank you dear!
My Day Begins.....
Coordinating my errands and tasks around the baby birds feeding schedules.
Owning an aviary, definitely puts limitations on one’s social life, as the babies require a lot of “hands-on” time and attention. I take great pride in providing the essentials to the babies, such as every hour feedings, weaning from formula to dry foods, learning manners, perching, and flying. It is rewarding to know I am teaching the baby the fundamentals it will need to develop into that special companion you have been searching for.
I do it all for you
